We have a series of activities that we run as part of the Egg and Sperm Race.
The egg and sperm race is of course our main activity and demonstrates how hard it is under ‘normal’ circumstances for a sperm cell to reach and fertilise an egg cell, but untreated STIs like Chlamydia can make it even more difficult.
Make Your Own Cell
This activity is designed for children but adults love it too. By making your own cell you learn that different cells have different functions, so they look different, such as sperm cells have a tail to help them move towards the egg. Cells also contain organelles that help them do all the things they need to do, such as make energy to help them move.
